Toy Story 3 Rules U.S. Box Office

Disney-Pixar's TOY STORY 3 reigned over the U.S. box office for its opening weekend June 18-20, 2010. The critical darling landed $109 million, making it the highest grossing June opening in U.S. history. It's also Pixar's biggest opening, surpassing THE INCREDIBLES' $70.5 million.Last week's champ, THE KARATE KID, kicked in another $29 million. The remake has earned a total of $106.3 million.
THE A-TEAM jumped into third with $13.8 million. With vfx from Digital Domain, Hydraulx, The Moving Picture Company (MPC), Proof and Soho VFX, the over-the-top actioner has earned $49.8 million.GET HIM TO THE GREEK stayed steady in fourth, wrapping up an additional $6.12 million. The raunchy comedy has made $47.9 million thus far.SHREK FOREVER AFTER slipped to fifth with $5.52 million. The DreamWorks Animation hit has crowned $223 million.PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME held strong in sixth, taking in another $5.27 million. With visual effects from Double Negative, Bain VFX, BlueBolt, Centroid Motion Capture, Cinesite, Framestore, Lipsync Post, Matte Painting, Mobius MC, The Moving Picture Company (MPC), Nvizage, Nvizible and Peerless Camera Company, the stunt-filled fantasy has stolen $80.5 million.Lionsgate's KILLERS shot into seventh with $5.1 million. The action comedy has a cume of $39.4 million. Warner Bros.' JONAH HEX debuted in eighth with a weak $5.09 million. The film's visual effects were done by Hydraulx, Proof, Rodeo FX and Soho VFX
